Lloyds Bank is launching Get Paid, a new free invoicing and payment collection tool for its business banking customers later in 2026. The feature will be available within the Lloyds app and online banking at no additional cost, aiming to help businesses spend less time on administration.
Get Paid will allow Lloyds business clients to create, send, and track invoices. It combines invoicing, payment requests, and payment monitoring in a single location. Users can share secure payment links and set up automated reminders to chase outstanding payments, removing the need to purchase separate invoicing or accountancy software.
How Get Paid works and its strategic context
Get Paid enables secure payment links, automated reminders, and tracking of paid and outstanding requests. It is powered through Lloyds’ strategic partnership with technology firm BankiFi. Lloyds describes this model as 'embedded accounting', which extends its offering beyond conventional banking products by embedding wider financial workflows directly into the banking experience.
For BankiFi, the expanded partnership demonstrates the scale at which its technology can enable banks to offer more than traditional services. The launch builds on earlier collaboration between the two companies, with BankiFi now extending its support to cover a wider range of financial admin tasks within Lloyds’ digital channels.
The problem Get Paid aims to solve
Late payments are a major issue for UK small businesses. UK Government research found that 49% of small businesses say their business customers typically take longer to pay than agreed.
The Office of the Small Business Commissioner estimates that 14,000 businesses close each year because of late payments. At any given time, UK businesses are owed around £26 billion in overdue payments, with an average of £17,000 owed per business.
Background on the Lloyds and BankiFi collaboration
This launch builds on earlier work between Lloyds and BankiFi. BankiFi previously supported the launch of Lloyds’ Making Tax Digital for Income Tax functionality within the Lloyds Business Current Account earlier in 2026.
Ruchir Rodrigues is the BCB client strategy and commercial director at Lloyds. Mark Hartley is the chief executive officer of BankiFi.
Get Paid is due to launch later in 2026 and will be available within the Lloyds app and online banking at no additional cost.
